A Servant to Two MastersDate: Thursday 15th March 2012
Time: 19:30
This year’s Sixth form play is Lee Hall’s sassy, quick-fire adaptation of Goldoni’s post-commedia masterpiece.
A quiet engagement party is rudely interrupted by the arrival of Truffaldino, who announces that the bride-to-be’s late fiancé is alive and well and waiting downstairs. In fact it’s the fiance’s sister in breeches, but this being the eighteenth century nobody notices.
Hilarious chaos ensues as Truffaldino decides that his best chance of filling his belly is to serve not only Beatrice, but her lost lover, who happens to be staying at the same inn…
Suitable for adults and teenage children.
