'Cake Club Clarinetists' - Playing at St Ia Church Café

<b><i> 'Cake Club Clarinetists'</i></b>

Date: Saturday 10th September 2022
Time: 13:00

 'Cake Club Clarinetists'

The ten-piece clarinet group will play at the St Ia Church Café and accept your donations.

Formed 12 years ago, when clarinet players from the Returners Orchestra met during the summer break, the first host cooked a fabulous cake and started the tradition of post-rehearsal drinks and cakes.

They play the usual Bb clarinets as well as the little Eb clarinet and the larger Alto and Bass clarinets.
Previous performances have seen them play at Camborne Wesley Church, Art exhibitions at Trelissick Gardens, the Mylor Yacht Club and lunchtime concerts at King Charles the Martyr in Falmouth as well as joint projects with the Dancers from MADE at Kea Church and Flambards.

Their repertoire is a far reaching mix of styles from arrangements of baroque pieces by Purcell and Handel to contemporary classics such as Moonlight Serenade and Somewhere Over The Rainbow, as well as pieces written for clarinet choirs by composers such as Clare Grundman.

Playing at the St Ia Church Café from 1.00pm
