7.00pm Seamus Carey Meets His 4 Year Old Self - With a Choir
One day, Seamus found an old cassette tape in the back of his car with recordings of himself as a 4 year old boy, telling stories and singing his heart out.

Seamus has worked with director Agnieszka Blonska and choir leader Vicky Abbot to turn the recordings into 60 minutes of recompsed songs, performed by a choir of 30.

Seamus also plays piano, talks about growing up and occasionally dances.

Suitable for anyone who is a child or has been a child.

"'My 4 year old self'
is a work of unique wonder. Fuelled by the domestic, it accelerates into the epic, careering into unexpected and thrilling turns... I came out feeling like I was part of the world; connected, moved and hopeful.  I loved it!"  Emma Rice, Artistic Director, Wise Children.

Running Time: 60 minutes

9.00pm Vanessa Kisuule:  I am Octopus.

Vanessa Kisuule is a writer and performer based in Bristol, where she is City Poet 2018-20.

She has performed at an array of renowned poetry events and venues including The Royal Albert Hall, The British Library, Tongue Fu, Chill Pill and Bristol Old Vic, as well as festivals including Shambala, WOMAD and Glastonbury.

The world is burning: we can no longer escape this fundamental fact.

Vanessa Kisuule regularly sits in pockets of deep panic, flops in and out of vegetarianism and obsesses over octopuses.

She is simultaneously repulsed and seduced by them.

She is pretty sure that she was one in a former life.

Through new poems, artless costumes and silly dancing, Vanessa will explore the beautiful world of octopuses through her own unique lens.

Perhaps they have something to tell us about these strange and difficult times we currently find ourselves in?

Events close at about 11.00pm.
