 Well, if his success on the rap battle scene is anything to go by, he might already have done so.

The rap battle between former English teacher Mark Grist and young Mancunian rapper Blizzard has gone viral this year. And although the modest and affable Grist claims otherwise, most of the near two million people who’ve viewed it on YouTube agree that he destroyed the young pretender.
 
Coming to Launceston to preview his show for the Edinburgh Fringe, Mark Grist is probably the hottest name out there on the UK’s slam poetry scene. He is nothing short of an internet phenomenon, a counter-cultural icon and a zeitgeist defining talent.
 
The support act is MC Tricky
 
There is also a 1-hour, Free, poetry workshop for 16 to 25 year olds earlier in the day, followed by this explosive live performance in the evening.  Please see the Poetry Workshop event. It's Free but tickets are recommended as numbers are limited.
