Monteverdi’s Vespers is one of the most magnificent pieces of the classical repertoire, and one of the most significant collections of sacred music ever written.
St Mary’s Singers are delighted to be joined by the virtuoso period instrumentalists of The English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble, the cathedral’s boy choristers, as well as a stellar line up of soloists including the cathedral’s head girl choristers who will sing the soprano solo movements.
Expect Truro Cathedral to be used to its full expanse, with spatial effects galore!

'A Ceremony Of Psalms'
St Mary’s Singers, the voluntary choir of Truro Cathedral, and Abbey Brass perform music by Cornish composer, Paul Drayton, Rutter and Owain Park.
This concert is the launch of a newly commissioned CD of Paul Drayton’s work which showcases The Ceremony of Psalms written for choir, brass, percussion and organ to be performed alongside Rutter’s Gloria.
