Members Showcase: Kathy Wallis
Singer and storyteller Kathy Wallis will be joined by whistle player Terry Silver and harmony singer Sylvia Watts on a selection of traditional and newly-penned songs with plenty of opportunity for joining in and raising the roof!
Kathy will also perform her acclaimed story and song cycle ‘Hedd Wyn’, with Welsh duo Ned Clamp and Pat Smith.
In music, song, poem and tale, they will weave the true story of Ellis Evans, shepherd poet, and the Black Chair at the 1917 National Eisteddfod of Wales.

Bodmin Folk Club
In 1967, a small group of enthusiasts who met weekly to sing in the Masons Arms decided to start a club to attract traditional performers to Cornwall. The first recorded club night of the Bodmin Traditional Folk Club was on 31st May 1968 in an upper room at The Barley Sheaf.
Since then, the club has met almost every single Friday night, welcoming a range of singers, musicians and occasional dancers from Britain and beyond at both guest nights and open houses.
Our new home is at The Old Library, 10 Lower Bore Street, PL31 2JX. It has a Licensed bar, also sells Tea & Coffee, Soft drinks, and wonderful sausage rolls and cake!
Find us there every Friday except Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and the August Bank Holiday weekend, when we’re at Cornwall Folk Festival.
