Liam Jordan & David Matthews
Now living in Cornwall he is a singer, songwriter, musician. Tom continues to write, record and perform as a solo artist, captivating audiences with lap-slide guitar, rack harmonica, 5-string banjo, Puerto Rican cuatro and uke, singing his own songs and songs from the folk and blues tradition.
Liam is a folk rock singer-songwriter, based in the southwest of England. He started out playing in various folk clubs and bars, honing his craft and learning from his musical mentors on the local scene. His music has been compared to many contemporary songwriters such as Frank Turner and Ryan Adams.
Having just released his debut album, Jordan is set to hit the road this year on a tour of the UK & Ireland to promote the record. His songs have featured on BBC Introducing, and his second single ‘Mansion On The Hill’ featured on BBC national news last year as part of a report on UK poverty.
The album fuses; folk, country, gospel and rock in a travelling blues band style format, forging strong subject matter with powerful and emotive production and nodding a respectful head to songwriting greats such as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen. His first single ‘Tap At My Window’ is currently featured on Richer Unsigned’s ‘Best of June’ playlist in association with Q Magazine.
