'Under Milk Wood'
A Reading of the Radio Play
Listen, somewhere along the Welsh coast lies the intriguing little village of Llareggub.
It is night and the inhabitants are sleeping.
Among them are Captain Cat, a seafaring man who is losing his sight; the sexy Polly Garter and Mr. Waldo, a jack-of-all-trades who is full of regret.
The narrators take us on a poetic journey, watching them as they sleep, following them as they wake and go about their daily business until dusk falls once again.
Tywardreath Players present their own unique take on the classic Dylan Thomas radio play for voices. Written in 1954, but so familiar to any one who lives in a village anywhere.
The dramatic reading welcomes audiences into the secret dreams of these curious residents over the course of a typical day in this atypical town.
The play is witty, sharp, acutely observed and poignant. Come, laugh and be entertained.
Suitable for anyone with a sense of humour who can sit still and listen!
