'Walk With Me'
Join us for the launch of a new story-walk app featuring local stories from St Austell.
Since 2010, writer and Kneehigh associate artist Anna Murphy has been walking the roads less travelled in Cornwall, collecting and wildly exaggerating the stories she finds along the way.
Throughout this very special free event at White River Place there will be opportunities to join a guided story walk around St Austell, enjoy an exhibition of stories collected from across Cornwall, and the chance to try out a brand new digital storytelling experiment, as well as live storytelling from Kneehigh artists.
11.00am Exhibition open
2.00pm Walk With Me!
We’ll be taking a short stroll along the story-walk route in small groups. We’ll help you download the app beforehand if needed and get you on your way. Bring your smartphone and headphones.
From 3.30pm Join us for live storytelling, tea & cake.
If you don’t want to or can’t do the walk, you can listen to the stories on the app from wherever you are in ‘armchair mode’. Please feel free to drop in anytime during the day to view the exhibition and join in the fun.
This is a free event, but tickets are limited and pre-booking is essential.

This year, more than ever, we wanted the shows to celebrate togetherness, inclusivity and strength in numbers – and we’re proud to say that every show on offer stands in defiance to these mad, mixed-up times we’re currently living in.
