Thomas Hardy in words and music :

'To Lyonnesse and back'

An exploration of the poetry of Thomas Hardy.

Timothy Dean, Artistic Director of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s ‘Song Studio’ gives an informal introduction to Hardy’s work, with selected poems read by Robin Taylor.

Song settings of Hardy poems by Gerald Finzi and Benjamin Britten will be performed by David Horton (tenor) and Jerome Knox (baritone), accompanied on the piano by Timothy Dean, and readings by Robin Taylor.

 

The performance will include an interval with a Licensed Bar.
