Nigel Twinn : The Dowser's Tale -
Penlee Coach House, Penlee Park, Penzance, TR18 4HE
Date: Wednesday 25th July 2012
Time: 16:00
Nigel Twinn, dowser and writer of 'dowsing travelogues', tells 'The Dowser's Tale'.
Whether you are new to the world of dowsing – is it something to do with hazel twigs and finding water? – or experienced in using dowsing for exploring earth energies, health, archaeology – and yes, water – you should not miss this talk.
Nigel Twinn, author and dowser, will speak about the extraordinary experiences he has had in the company of two of the most remarkable dowsers of their generation.
Hamish Miller, a Cornish Scot, internationally known for his exploration of earth energies across the world, his dowsing and healing work, writing, artistic blacksmithing, as well as the foundation of Parallel Community, welcomed Nigel into his home at Trencrom. Their meeting and collaboration was timely as Hamish Miller: A Life Divined (published by Penwith Press), was produced just months before Hamish’s death.
Nigel will also speak about his very recent experiences with Billy Gawn, a genial Northern Irish farmer, builder and skilled dowser, whose observation and research over several decades is well-respected.
Billy’s work has been fundamental to the development of an understanding of how we humans interact with the subtle energies of our planetary home and is now recorded in Beyond the Far Horizon: Why Earth Energy Dowsing Works (also published by Penwith Press).
It will be evident from Nigel’s talk that spending time and working with two such exceptional but humble men has been a vital part of his own life, for him two very different but intertwining journeys of self-discovery, and unexpected revelations in his own search for knowledge.
Nigel has had a varied career (it has spanned facilities, personnel, financial and project management, as well as town planning and transport strategy) but out in the real world Nigel Twinn is a dowser, writer, gardener and walker.
He lives in Tavistock. He was a founder member of Tamar Dowsers on the Cornwall/Devon border and is currently on the British Society of Dowsers’ Board of Trustees.
