Adam Marek Masterclass: The Never-ending Idea Machine
Where do ideas come from?
How do we get more of them?
And how do we know if our idea will work as a short story?
In this exclusive 3-hour workshop, prize-winning short story writer Adam Marek will explore practical methods for tapping your imagination, generating ideas and developing them, with lively exercises and an insight into his own writing practice.
Adam Marek is the award-winning author of two short story collections: The Stone Thrower and Instruction Manual for Swallowing.
He won the 2011 Arts Foundation Short Story Fellowship, and was shortlisted for the inaugural Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award. His stories have appeared on BBC Radio 4, and in many magazines and anthologies, including The Penguin Book of the British Short Story. He regularly teaches creative writing for the Arvon Foundation.
