Richard Peirce is a passionate shark conservationist, engaged on various projects to help prevent these magnificent creatures from being pushed into extinction.
As Chairman of the Shark Trust and Shark Conservation Society and sponsor of the Shark Anglin Club of Great Britain's 'Tag & Release' programme, Richard has unrivalled experience of these beautiful beasts of the deep, which he will share with you over Fish 'n Chips at Launceston Fryers.
He has also written a number of books, one of which;' 'Pirates of devon & Cornwall' keeps with our theme of the Gentleman of the Seas.

With names like Sir Andrew Motion, Dr Alan Kent, Peter Edwards and Penelope Shuttle appearing at the festival his genius inspires, the cream of the country’s writing talent will again be in Charles Causley’s home town this summer.
