Stories of the Roseland
Valerie Belsey will read extracts from her new book of 52 short stories set on the Roseland and the surrounding area throughout its long and not always tranquil history.
There’s a “story-walk” for every week of the year based upon events which happened during the lives of those who worked the land or the sea.
There are fascinating tales of preachers and poachers, smugglers and soldiers and the events which shaped their lives.
She is accompanied by Jim Causley, a renowned folk singer, song writer and musician, a relative of the Cornish poet, Charles Causley.
