The Printmakers
Women in Jazz Weekend
Brought together by their collective love of song, The Printmakers’ music defies category and sets out to cross the boundaries that traditionally separate jazz, folk and the contemporary music world.
Making a welcome return to Calstock Arts after their headline gig at the 2015 Calstock Jazz and Blues Festival, founder member Nikki Iles, winner of the 2017 British Jazz Awards for Piano, is joined by Norma Winstone MBE, a pioneering innovator of the voice.
Completing this stellar line up is Mike Walker on guitar, Mark Lockheart on sax, James Maddren on drums and Steve Watts on bass.
“In the old days, this band would have had the words “All-Stars” in their name. Every one of them is a leading figure in British contemporary jazz.” Dave Gelly, The Observer
