and his Ram Jam Band
support : Falmouth Soul Sensation
Restormel Arts presents a top night of live music to close the Festival of Fun weekend this Easter. Master of Soul Geno Washington with his Ram Jam Band blasted onto the huge Mod music scene in 1965, releasing 5 albums in 3 years before Geno moved on to a solo career.
With 8 solo albums to his credit, Geno dropped out of the music scene and returned to the US for several years, but was tempted back to the UK when the popularity of Dexy’s hit release ‘Geno’ fired his enthusiasm once more.
Since 2007, Geno and the band have toured extensively and are in constant demand. Due to the recent surge of love for all things Mod and Soul a new generation of fans are ‘discovering’ Geno Washington.
Supporting our headline band are the Falmouth Soul Sensation. This superb bunch of musicians formed in 2006 and their magical blend of classic and modern soul appeals to all ages.
Much loved Ready Steady Mod DJ Martin Bate has been tempted out of retirement to spin some classic Northern Soul and keep everyone on the dance floor.
