Date: Sunday 18th September 2016
'Sunday Nights in at the Acorn'
Every Sunday we offer you something different
First Sunday -
“Film and Debate” - A film evening with a twist. Watch a film and then debate its making, subject matter, political stance, potency, bias…. and anything else that is appropriate. Most films will be lesser known rather than mainstream and the choice of film, while ultimately lying with the Acorn, will also be open to debate.
“New drama” – a collaboration with the Bike Shed theatre in Exeter will see drama presented as a result of new writing. No old favourites here, all the performances will be newly developed, some will be pre-festival, some will be a new idea that has recently been debuted. You won’t know what to expect, nor might the performers….
“New writing” – your chance to create new and innovative writing especially for the stage. Whether you are a seasoned writer or just want to try your hand at creating a script, the evening will allow you the time and space to create. It is anticipated that scratch performance and rehearsed readings will also take place.
Performance in the Cabaret Bar

“Experimental drawing” – drawings that reflects on life. As a past student of Dartington College your friendly neighhood administrator has undertaken many life and experimental drawing projects, the fourth Sunday of the month will be an extension of that process. There may be life drawing, there may be movement, there could even be music; there will certainly be experimentation. A Sunday evening of drawing mayhem? Possibly.
