Scilly Laughs Comedy Festival
Hosted by Julie Jepson
Featuring Richard Vranch, Hannah Brackenbury and Craig Deeley
Back for its third year, with four acclaimed comedians, and premiering in Penzance en route to the Scillies, the Scilly Laughs Comedy Festival is delighted to be returning to the Acorn.
Host and sought-after compere Julie Jepson has been described as “intelligent stand-up that is instantly engaging. Truly fabulous”. Animated, likeable, hugely watchable and very funny, she forms an instant rapport with the audience.
And who will Julie introduce? Three top-notch comedy acts: Richard Vranch, Hannah Brackenbury and Craig Deeley will offer plenty for everyone to enjoy.
Richard Vranch has appeared on Radio 4’s Just a Minute and TV’s Whose Line Is It Anyway. A veteran of the London Comedy Store, where he has performed on a weekly basis since 1986, Richard has performed at the Globe Theatre as part of the Comedy Store Players.
Hannah Brackenbury brings “plinky-plonky songs and parodies” to the evening. Covering subjects ranging from librarians to car boot sales, from selfies to the sexual properties of Scrabble, Hannah has gone viral on line – www.brackers.co.uk According to Zhoosh magazine, Hannah is “a talented musician and funny lyricist”, who “will tickle the funny bone of even the hardest to please”.
Craig Deeley – who also performs with Foghorn Improv - has a quick observational style which has gained him fans all over the UK. His “star is in the ascendency” with “his assured delivery, broad appeal and original, funny viewpoint on life”.
Get ready to have your funny bones tickled at the inaugural Scilly Laughs Comedy Festival.
