The Lady’s Cup of Tea
Baroque and Irish Music
La Moresca, renowned throughout Germany for their very individual crossover of traditional and modern Celtic folk music are visiting Cornwall for the first time in July this year.
The five members playing on a mix of period baroque and modern instruments, two Celtic harps, two violins and an array of unusual percussion instruments.
They take us on a journey through folk music and poetry from Ireland and Cornwall, visiting early English Dance and Court Music on the way.
With their breathtakingly rapid reels and the stunning beauty of the two Celtic harps they evoke a magical and deeply moving world.
At The Acorn, they will be giving a unique performance which will include local poet and storyteller Angela Stoner spinning her spellbinding tales to the music of Claudia Hoffmann, violinist and Celtic harpist.
