Unique is what we are!
To the LPSO, skiffle means “anything goes”, as long as it is musical, entertaining and fun.
Our performances are energetic, colourful, bizarre, tuneful, virtuoso and hilarious, incorporating a wealth of instruments, costume changes and numerous props.
And we are full of surprises…
Learn the washboard!
Suffer canine constipation!
Polka with a horse, frog, snake and pig!
Musical madness !!!!!!!!!!!!!
In addition to Britain, the LPSO have wowed festival audiences in Finland, Norway, Belgium, Denmark and Germany.
Their individual experiences range from appearances on the Benny Hill Show, Kenny Everett Show, Eastenders, Little & Large Show and StarWars to performing in Barnums Circus (USA).
“The LPSO raised the roof….with laughter, insanity & a fantastic range of every type of music possible.
The audience left with wide smiles & happy hearts saying “We haven’t laughed so much in years!” Gill Scard (Director, King’s Theatre, Cheddar, Nov 2009)
“Zany madcappery with faultless musicianship” Ian McGlynn (Artistic Director – Rondo Theatre, Bath, March 2009)
“A fantastic night – our audience loved it.” Will Wollen (Artistic Director, Theatre Royal, Margate, April 2008)
“They’re brilliant” Merrily Powell (Artistic Director, Wharf Theatre, Devizes, February 2008)
