Date: Friday 15th May 2020
Ella Turk-Richards + support act Land Of Contrasts
Joined by a band of unique and gifted musicians, Ella’s use of exploratory vocal improvisation, guitar and loop station brings you infectious grooves underneath strong lyrical arrangements, followed by haunting, soulful songs that will make your hair stand on end.
She explores song form and characterization, drawing these threads into a rich musical underbelly that often takes on a theatrical element in her solo vocal pieces.
Her music, drawing from latin, soul, jazz and nu-folk- infused original material, delivers an uplifting, evocative and heartfelt performance that will cast you under its spell.
The support act for tonight’s show is Land Of Contrasts, featuring Rene Crouch and Marc Hadley – A professional duo based in West Cornwall
Eclectic and delightful repertoire. Jazz, Blues, Soul, Motown, R&B covers and funky tune makeovers.
