Wild Willy Barrett's French Connection

Directed by God Father of grunge folk Wild Willy Barrett, this dynamic quartet returns to the UK with an “oo -la-la” as French chanteuse Aurora Colson takes centre stage, leaving the musicians to demonstrate their considerable individual talents.

Captivating audiences both English and French alike with her compelling and expressive vocals, she effortlessly tackles a wide range of styles:  From Gypsy jazz to traditional Celtic, with hint of Bluegrass and Piaf thrown into the mix.

Innovative arrangements beautifully performed on instruments including the guitar, cello, fiddle, banjo and uilleann pipes, all overlaid with a large dose of wry humour.

A unique and unforgettable evening.

Review by Simon Icke:
“What a very special surprise at The Limelight Theatre, Aylesbury tonight to a sell out audience: Wild Willy Barrett's French Connection: a unique mix of British folk with such variety and musical improvisation and multi-talented use of numerous instruments and mix of singing in both English & French, led by the amazing and fun Willy Barrett, his very talented musical wife Mary Holland and the sublime yet incredibly talented musician John Devine ..

What a wonderful evening of unique and fresh musical entertainment!”
