Ali Land :
The Journey of a Debut Author
We are delighted to welcome author, Ali Land to this year’s Festival.
After graduating from university with a degree in Mental Health, Ali spent a decade working as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nurse in both hospitals and schools in the UK.
Now following her dream to be a full time writer, her novel 'Good Me Bad Me' has been billed as being a “stunning literary debut for 2017”:
“Annie’s mother is a serial killer. The only way she can make it stop is to hand her in to the police. But out of sight is not out of mind. The secrets of her past won’t let her sleep, even with a new family and name - Milly. A fresh start. Now, surely, she can be whoever she wants to be. But Milly’s mother is a serial killer. And blood is thicker than water…She is, after all, her mother’s daughter”.
Good Me Bad Me was described by novelist and journalist, Matt Haig, as being “an astounding thriller. Beyond tense. You hardly breathe. Best read in ages”.
Ali will be discussing her widely reviewed debut novel with bestselling author, Veronica Henry.
