As winners of the St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Music Competition 2012 and finalists of the Royal Overseas League Competition, the London based Jacquin Trio are emerging as persuasive advocates of music for the distinctive combination of clarinet, viola and piano.

They are current Live Music Now Scheme Artists for 2011-13 and Park Lane Group Artists for the 57th annual concert series.

The Jacquins are delighted to be Ensemble in Residence at The Forge, Camden for 2013. Recently the trio have received a Tunnell Trust Award which will see them performing in Scotland in 2014.

The trio was formed in 2009 at the Royal College of Music where in the following year they were awarded the Douglas Whittaker Ensemble Prize.

Since then The Jacquin Trio have been performing extensively in London and across the United Kingdom. In December 2010 the Trio reached the finals of the 19th International Chamber Music Competition in Thessaloniki, Greece where they were awarded an ‘honorary mention’ by the jury.

The Jacquin Trio have already had several works written especially for them by both established and up and coming composers and are extending their repertoire with current commissions.
