Allotment - Nutshell Theatre
Date: Saturday 22nd September 2012
Time: 14:30
ALLOTMENT follows the complex and quirky relationship between sisters Dora and Maddy as they live out the seasons on their allotment, playing out their rivalries among the plants. When the unexpected rocks their uneasy balance, it's time to do something radical…
Join Dora and Maddy for a cup of tea and a homemade scone and ponder: Do flowers matter as much as vegetables?
The dark comedy is also a celebration of gardening, with the actresses digging, planting and performing on top of a shed. With changeable weather constantly shifting the nature of the allotment.
ALLOTMENT is a feast for the senses. A tale of life, death, Pink Fir Apple potatoes and the secret power of worms!
The production will go on whatever the weather, so come prepared!
Limited spaces available so book early!
Nutshell will also be running free workshops on healthy living and community as part of the afternoon.
More details to follow so please check their website...
This event is run with the support of Tamar Grow Local who will be holding an information and education programme with a display of the produce grown on local allotments.
