"The Hain Steamship Company of St Ives"
Talk by Brian Stevens
This is the story of the five Edward Hains of St. Ives, from a Huer for a seining company to Shipping Magnates.
They started with a small sailing vessel, followed by others, and then into the steam era, and was knighted for services to shipping.
From small beginnings to a great maritime venture, and they were greatly respected.
