The Wilderness Yet

The Wilderness Yet are comprised of Rosie Hodgson and Rowan Piggott.

Rosie is a folk singer and songwriter from West Sussex who grew up surrounded by traditional music and dance.

After winning the newcomer competition at Ely Festival in 2011, Rosie worked hard to carve out her niche on the UK folk circuit.

She released her EP Somewhere North in 2012 and has since played numerous festivals and folk clubs across the land.

In 2013 she was nominated as a finalist for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award before joining acclaimed London-Irish band CrossHarbour, who subsequently released their ´╗┐eponymous debut album´╗┐.

Rosie is currently touring her debut album Rise Aurora with fiddle player and singer Rowan Piggott.

Rowan grew up in the foothills of the Burren on the west coast of Ireland surrounded by traditional music.

Both his father, Charlie (of De Dannan) and his mother, Frances (who taught him the fiddle) were key figures in his musical development.

The author of two successful tune books, he has also written articles for several magazines and led fiddle workshops at festivals all over the country.

A familiar face in ceilidh bands across the UK and a constant of the Irish session scene, he also finds time to play at folk clubs & festivals with the Georgia Lewis Band, with whom he's recorded an EP and full-length studio album.

Recently, Rowan received a creative bursary from EFDSS for his SONGHIVE compilation album which he set up to raise awareness of the plight of the bees.
