'An Evening with Murray Lachlan Young'

A delightful satirical romp into the bizarre facets of fame, fashion, politics, rock-n-roll reverie and the space-time continuum from acclaimed playwright, actor, screen-writer and BBC6 Music resident poet-extraordinaire.

A hybrid mix of stand-up comedy on the bizarreness of contemporary life…..expect flamboyant, punchy wit and brooding subtext with much-loved and new offerings from his first ever anthology ‘How Freakin’ Zeitgeist Are You?’ published by Unbound Books.

About the Tour
To coincide with the March 2017 hardback publication of the long awaited collection 'How Freakin’ Zeitgeist Are You?', Murray Lachlan Young will be undertaking a very special up-close and personal UK Tour.

Murray's  performance clips have notched up over 250,000 hits on YouTube and he's known for his numerous appearances and residencies on BBC Radio 2 Arts Show, Radio 4’s Saturday Live and as current resident poet on BBC6 Music, the BBC Test Match Special and The Shipping Forecast.

He has most recently co-adapted the new movie version of the Dylan Thomas classic: Under Milk Wood. No stranger to the big screen himself Murray has also appeared in About A Boy, Vatel, and as gallows poet in Plunkett & Macleane.

Murray’s first stage play, The Incomers, toured nationally as well as residencies at The Union Club, Soho and The Arts Club in Dover Street. There was also a famed tongue in cheek Poet Laureate bid with Andrew Motion appearance on BBC Newsnight with Jeremy Paxman, commissioned works for Vauxhall Motors and Magners Cider, and recent appearances at countless festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude and Edinburgh Festival.
