"A Weekend with Northern Harmony"
Two-day Singing Workshop
Presented by Pip Wright of Kana Kernow
Learn beautiful harmony songs from South Africa, Georgia, Corsica, the Balkans and American Shape Note traditions taught by the 16 brilliant young singers of Northern Harmony.
Northern Harmony is a vibrant group of 18 young singers and musicians from Vermont, USA who study, perform and teach music from around the world.
Northern Harmony (led by Larry Gordon) regularly tour Europe, teaching sell-out workshops and giving stunning performances. They are coming to West Cornwall for the first time in September 2017 to offer a 2-day Workshop and Concert.
The group has an in-depth knowledge of the genres they sing. They teach with respect for the traditions and attention to detail in terms of sound quality and vocal technique which makes learning with Northern Harmony a treat and an enormously gratifying experience.
Each vocal part will be taught by a member of Northern Harmony allowing for amazingly quick learning of a variety of styles.
Kana Kernow (Singing Cornwall) workshops are friendly and relaxed.
All singers are welcome whether or not they sing in a choir.

Kana Kernow (Singing Cornwall)
( Singing Cornwall )
Kana Kernow was set up in 2013 by local singing leaders Pip Wright and Claire Ingleheart to provide opportunities for people to come together to sing for enjoyment, to learn new songs and to experience new styles of singing.
We run workshops in the heart of our communities in village halls, leading some workshops ourselves as well as drawing on the rich wealth of local singing leaders.
A couple of times a year we invite excellent singing leaders from further afield to Cornwall so we can all experience exciting, good quality, diverse singing workshops locally.
