A would-be novelist suffering from writer's block, and with a deadline to meet, comes to Cornwall desperately seeking inspiration.
He gets it in a very unexpected way and from some very unexpected, surprising sources!
Armed with a wealth of new ideas and with a new-found confidence, he completely changes the plan for his book.

A drama group is about to perform 'Rebecca' but the leading lady has disappeared and the director is desperately holding last minute auditions to try and find a replacement.
He has to try and keep the cast happy and, to top it all, his car has been "stolen".
In a strange way, life seems to be imitating art!
