Date: Saturday 4th May 2019
The first of May's two SproutSpoken: SuperSonic events hits Newquay's Sprout Health Foods on Saturday 4th May. Rescheduled from earlier in the year - we're delighted to welcome headliner Craft-D.
Support to be announced.
Danny 'Craft-D' Pandolfi is a spoken word poet, writer, musician, rapper and battle MC from London, current Resident Bristol Boat Poet, and former Resident Artist at the Roundhouse in London.
His spoken word and rap performances aim to bridge the gap between forms associated with traditional poetry and contemporary hip-hop, using experimental rhyme schemes, structures and metaphors, often challenging societal stereotypes and stigmas around issues such as anxiety, mental health, masculinity and structural inequality.
Craft-D has performed in major venues such Ministry of Sound, O2 Academy Bristol and The Roundhouse (London), and supported and performed alongside the likes of Mark Wilsher-Grist, Joelle Taylor, Harry Baker Poetry, Salena Godden, Attila the Stockbroker and other highly regarded UK poets. He has been booked to perform at a number of festivals all over the UK including Camp Bestival, Blissfields Festival, Cheltenham Festivals, Ledbury Poetry Festival and more, and has featured on numerous radio stations including BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio Bristolstol. He is also the founder of acclaimed events company and online media platform Raise the Bar.
In 2017, he was named as one of Bristol’s 24 most influential Bristolians under 24 by Rife Magazine.
In 2018, he was featured in an Eventbrite UK documentary entitled ‘Generation DIY’ celebrating creatives and promoters under 25.
