Hookline Theatre present "Koyt"
Sorry ! This event has been cancelled due to illness.
Nick Darke left us in 2005, but thankfully his wonderful work will live forever and the 18-month-long festival to celebrate his life and works continues. As part of the Darke Visions Season, Hookline Theatre will be bringing Nick’s "Koyt" to The Burrell :
Forget Guy Fawkes, Bonfire Night and fireworks, Hookline's latest production, Nick Darke's `Koyt`, is truly explosive.
The Dozers are on the move, leaving the moors, heading this way.
The town of Koyt is dead. It once was abundant, now it's redundant.
The future lies with second homes, chalets, caravans, guest houses and out of town hypermarkets.
There is no place for Koyt in the new Kernow.
`Koyt` will blow you away. Tis dynamite!

This is the Burrell Theatre at Truro, Cornwall
The Burrell was officially opened by Sir Tim Rice in 2002, and went on to be awarded a special commendation by the Cornwall Buildings Group.
The Burrell plays host to theatre and dance companies from Cornwall and all over the country, plus live music, lectures and conferences.
The Burrell also has its own theatre company in residence: Cube Theatre Company produce one show a year at the Burrell which they then tour the country with. This gives pupils from Truro School an opportunity to witness the production process of a professional show.
They also produce and direct three Truro School shows a year. The Burrell Theatre also host Truro Schools A-level and GCSE theatre studies and drama productions.
To say the least, the Burrell Theatre is a very busy and vibrant theatre, and is fast becoming Cornwall’s favourite multi purpose venue.
