'The Three Buskerteers :
Wild Willy Barrett, Martyn Baker & Mary Holland
Innovative, exciting and multi-talented musician, Wild Willy Barrett, is coming back to St Ives for a special performance with cellist and song-writer Mary Holland and singer/songwriter Martyn Barker.
Willy, well known for his dry on-stage humour, says he is happy with the ‘enigmatic’ status he has achieved after a long and varied career.
St Ives is the perfect place for exploring new ideas and working with other like-minded musicians and poets so expect this performance to be something out of the ordinary. Hint: expect carpentry and egg-necking!!
A highly respected musician, Willy’s styles include folk, blues, gypsy jazz, reggae, and bluegrass.
This special performance will feature guitar, fiddle, banjo and balalaika, alongside Mary’s mellow cello, keyboards and percussion.
Martyn Barker is a Songwriter, Guitarist and Vocalist from the deep depths of Goole in the county of Yorkshire.
He has played in many bands over the years including Thin Red Line and more recently The Tea Band. Martyn’s rich vocals and original quirky songs complement Willy and Mary’s diverse musical talents, making for a light hearted and entertaining show with a difference.
