Cribhut Theatre- A Place by the Sea
Date: Thursday 5th August
Time: 19:30
Where "Kettleboys & Captains" was indubitably Cornish in its origins and style, Cribhut's new play "A Place by the Sea" is universal in its themes of loss, courage in the face of tragedy, and redemption.
Cribhut utilises mesmerising storytelling mixed with original music to show how a couple of childrens TV entertainers, Buzz and Bea, use the lighthearted telling of fairy tales in their show as a distraction from the destructive grief of their shared past.
As the story unfolds the intrusive nature of modern tabloid journalism is explored.
Who is the storyteller?
Who is the story?
and how far will a reporter go to get his story?
Sheila Vanloo of the West Briton says; "look out people - A Place by the Sea is shaping up nicely. I had a sneak preview yesterday and it has everything, great script, small, but perfectly formed cast, top tunes and some fancy footwork. It will make you laugh out loud and reach for the tissues. Make sure you get your tickets for this wonderful theatre group".

Disabled friendly event
Cribhut Theatre are artists, actors, storytellers and theatre makers... we like to play!
We are doing this to create something with friends, to explore our skills and realise our dreams, in order to have fun because there are stories that can only be told through theatre.
We want to return to the root of what we love in order to practice what we preach and be able to relate. We want to sing and make nice sounds (to compensate for the nasty ones) and we like dressing up!
Quite simply, we are doing this for the journey.
