The Penzance Lit Fest enjoys a reputation as one of the friendliest and most eclectic events in the booklover’s calendar. With over 50 events (including author talks and writing workshops) taking place across venues in central Penzance, come prepared to be entertained, illuminated and inspired.

This year’s programme celebrates words in their many different forms - printed, hand-drawn, spoken and sung - and spans genres as diverse as haiku, rap and classical music!

We’d like to think that in 2018, perhaps more than in any previous year, the Litfest offers something for everyone..

The hub of the Festival will be The Acorn Theatre, in the centre of Penzance, where many of the events will be held. Other venues nearby include The Morrab Library, St John’s Hall and Penlee Coach House.

This is probably the friendliest and most inclusive literary festival in the country. Come and meet a galaxy of prize-winning and up-and-coming authors, poets and playwrights, from West Cornwall and 'up-country' too.

The Standard Daytime Event Price is £4.00.
A Concession price of £2.00 is available for Under18s, Students or Benefits. Sorry, but this does not automatically apply to Seniors.

Some events e.g. Writing Workshops, walking tours, musical performances, cost more than the standard price and may not be available at a concessionary rate. See individual events for details.

NB Advance Sales will close at 22.00hrs the night before an event.
